Welcome to EAS+Y, EAS+Y was established in the fall of 2009 by a group of local businesses and residents. Our goal was to create an organization to tackle our environmental issues. Initially, we focused on recycling but after many discussions we knew our work needed to include much more.
Our 2012 plans include:
- Increasing availability and accessibility of RECYCLING within our community
- Developing a timeline and plan for bringing a COMMUNITY GARDEN to Evergreen
- Providing community education about COMPOSTING with the long term objective of having a commercial composting pick-up program
- Continuing THE BIGGEST LOSER energy saving initiative

Our Mission is to foster actions that benefit sustainability in our community.
Our Vision is to keep the "green" in Evergreen by becoming a catalyst for awareness, action, and access that will develop sustainability in our local community. While sustainability can mean many things to many people, our values stem from the "triple bottom line" of sustainability which balances environmental, economic, and social concerns to build a resilient, diverse and vibrant community. Most importantly, we believe that the sustainability of our community comes from YOU! We each make the decisions that create our world every day...for better or for worse. We are here to help making the right decisions EAS+Y!
EAS+Y meets once a month for an open forum to discuss concerns, update change and exchange knowledge. We meet the 2nd Thursday of the month at 8 am at the Bergen Park Fire Station, 1802 Bergen Parkway, Evergreen, CO 80439.
